Idridgehay and Alton is an English civil parish within the district of Amber Valley and the county of Derbyshire
The Parish sits within a Special Landscape Area (SLA). It is acknowledged as having one of the finest landscapes outside of the Peak National Park. Perhaps the best way to explore the area is to take a walk along the many paths throughout the Parish or a trip on the Ecclesbourne Railway. From Idridgehay station you can explore the surrounding landscape by following Eadric’s Way.
